This book is tedious, long, and the characters aren't particularly ones that anyone would root for in a novel; all that being said, this book was fantastic in its realism making it a charming read of what felt like real humans in a non-romanticism type of way.

It's really more of a 3.5 for me. The writing was clear and engaging, and the characters were vivid. The problem for me was that I didn't much care for the characters. Additionally, it was hard to get momentum with the book as the story would shift to a different character right when I would hit a rhythm. This played into how long it took me to get through this thing!
