An easy, fast read. Not the best of the series but far from the worst.

While this book was good it only slightly reminded me of the Bones tv show. The character name was the same and some of her characteristics, but really not the same science and comedy that I was expecting. I still thought it was a good murder mystery/science twist. Just not the light-hearted comedy that I was expecting.

This is the fourteenth book in the series. I felt there was a little inconsistency a few books back (well, I don't really remember when it was to tell the truth - somewhere in the series maybe around books #7, #8 or #9 as I see I had some quite sizeable gaps in my reading of them then) but I got back into the series and haven't stopped. Tempe is a great character, there's lots of action, there's crime and action and romance/flirtation/etc and always fascinating settings. I mean, I'm not personally interested in car racing (or racing of any kind) but am interested in learning about things, and I learnt through this. Fabulous!

Good, but not as great as others. I feel that due to the fact I have not read quite a few of the books between this, and the ones I've read before in the series, I may have missed some parts that may have made this book more enjoyable.
I tend to find at times, that I have to try recall that I am reading a temprence Brennan book, and not Kay Scarpetta, as I confess I will at times get the storylines mixed.
I do think though, that sometimes I wish the TV incarnation of this character was more simular to the book version. The book version has a much more relateable character. (despite loving the TV character as much as I do)

Always a quick read. I enjoy Reichs' series.

I like this series and I like NASCAR but this book was not up to par. I never felt engaged with any of the characters, including Tempe, who I usually like and the plot was just so-so.
