*i will write my review soon*

BUT...I just wanted to say this book was written so well. The story is very hard to get through because of the topics it deals with. I had to pause so many times because my heart couldn’t take it and I would burst into tears. All I have to say is that Iris and August are perfect in every way

Long Shot is a difficult/empowering read about overcoming domestic abuse.
tense medium-paced

Read this book in less than 12 hours it was so captivating! I couldn’t put it down. I had several heart attacks because I didn’t read the trigger warning… even though it’s my own fault… I’m still taking a star for the heart palpitations

"I'd Play You At The Fifth... You'd Be The Center"

This book was a really good read. It was darker than the regular Kennedy Ryan book but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I loved August!!!! He is up there with Archer for how much he had true, open, love for Iris. It was honest and fearless, and he definitely carried the book.

Iris wasn't my favorite but again, it was because I wanted her to be unrealistically strong. She was the average, everyday woman strong and I did like that about this story. It was very real life. It was "this could happen to me" type of story.
August put this book in my Top 100!

Okay this book was INTENSE. I expected a spicy lil read and while it did have spice, the plot was the star of the show.
August and Iris’ story was so heartbreaking and beautiful at once. I was literally SHOUTING in my car while listening to the *traumatic* climax of this book while rooting for Iris to TAKE CARE OF BUSINESS.

That’s all I’ll say so there’s no spoilers but DEFINITELY
take a look at the trigger warnings before reading!! Some seriously heavy themes are discussed and described on page.
