This was an amazing read about mental health. Starts off when a guy (Emmett) is about to jump off a bridge and is looking for a sign to not jump and along comes Tallie. She convinces him to get down and she takes him out for coffee. This was a great story about two people helping each other out.

I gave this book four stars, I wanted to give it five, but feel like I should have given it three. The story was compelling. The characters had depth and the action was quickly paced. The ending left me scratching my head though. Some may swoon over how the author wrapped this one but not me. Tallie, our main character/ therapist is on her way home when she spots someone standing on the wrong side of a bridge. Using her training she convinces the man to reconsider. If I say anything else I’ve spoiled it so go ahead and read it if you want the rest of the plot:) Gracefully written and beautiful the author deals with the taboo yet very important subject of suicide. She also discussed mental illness, medication, therapy, art and various other tools available for any who seek help. Her book did this seamlessly which garnered an extra star from me. Otherwise I’d say it was a solid 3 star read. The ending could have launched it to five stars but again, read it to understand- no spoilers here. And if you do happen to read it, I’d love to hear your thoughts. Maybe I have to sit with this one for a bit....

Amazing read, I loved it. Big, heavy themes dealt with in a light, sweet way. Maybe not entirely realistic but it made for an engaging, entertaining book that left me feeling good.

I wasn't expecting this book to be so heavy! I assumed early on that Christine and Brenna had passed, but I was guessing it would be in some sort of accident. I'm not sure if I've ever read something that was so cozy and comforting but also so shockingly heart breaking at the same time. The ending was happy, but definitely left me with tears in my eyes.

This was very realistic. It has a redemptive arc. The people are real, honest, touched by the hardships of life. Two ships passing in the night, but in the passing they are made better for it. Touching. Raw. Real. Again- realistic. Glad I read it even though it wasn’t the ending I wanted
