I got this when I was younger and certainly enjoyed rereading it. Ever After High still holds a dear place in my heart despite me nearly being an adult now. I love how these one shots explore the characters personalities and expands on lore from the show. I couldn't put it down, I read it in about four days.
My favourite one shots had to be from the Wonderland kids as it was very interesting getting their thoughts and feelings about being away from Wonderland.
Also loved how it revealed how all the one shots were connected. Shannon is an amazing author and this book has definitely made me want to buy the rest of her Ever After High books.
Highly recommend for any Ever After High who's missing the series and upset it got cancelled.

Mostly reading this has made me sad that Shannon Hale isn't writing more EAH. I love how she manages to bring real emotions out of absurdity.
Anyways yes. Darling, Dexter, Kitty and Lizzie have the best stories.

I love Hale's narrator in this. So much fun. I need to sit down and read the rest of them, because there are some great characters in here.

This book contains all of the prequels for the Ever After High series, plus The Tale of the Two Sisters (which comes up later in the series). Each prequel sets up the character's conflict before their Legacy Year.
The characters included are Briar, Apple, Hunter, Ashlynn, and Raven, whose stories are included in the free ebooks, as well as new stories for Cedar Wood, Dexter and Darling Charming, Lizzie Hearts, and Kitty Cheshire.
I thought the stories were all very good, much better than I thought they would be. Cedar Wood's was probably my favorite because of its focus on bullying and highlighting the advantages of differences. Kitty Cheshire's was also very cool, because of her interaction in all of the stories.
A very interesting look behind-the-scenes before the official series starts.
