Until I read this book I had not read any books by Nicholas Sparks. I did know, however, that his books fell under the heading of 'romantic fiction'. When I began reading this book I assumed it was similar to the chick-lit novels written by Sophie Kinsella et al, and that the story would be a happy one. To some extent it was but I was unprepared for how it ended and I broke my heart when reading the end of the book. I wanted to write to the author and complain and demand he rewrite the ending! In all seriousness, I have to admit that this book is one of my favourite reads and I will definitely read more by Nicholas Sparks.
Not a great one to read while you’re pregnant, but a good Nicholas Sparks tearjerker as usual!
Wow...it was better than I expected! I usually love anything Nicholas Sparks, but I had a little trouble getting into this one at the beginning...event though I had read True Believer. But once I got past the first couple chapters, I flew through it...suspenseful, romantic, and heart-breaking. The ending was not what I expected!
While I enjoyed this book it became a bit predicitable, like so many other books around romance....love & tragedy & more love.
The book was decent. It had some slow parts but the ending just annoyed me. I plan to read more Nicholas Sparks books just so that I can see if all of the books end the same way.
What a sweet loving story. Lexi and Jeremy find each other when Jeremy goes to Boone Creek for a story he was writing, they find out Lexie is pregnant and Jeremy is going to move from New York to marry Lexi.
Their relationship has a few issues, but their love is strong.
Needless to say th book was very sweet and yet sad too. Loved it!

Had to read this followup after my book club read True Believer. Although I liked this novel, I wouldn't say I like it as much as TB. It just didn't have the connection that the first had. It was nice to see Sparks develop the characters more and they probably saw a little more "real life" but is that really Sparks' style? I don't know, this was only my second one. I can say that I was glad to have read it. It does get you thinking about the important stuff in your life as well as if you should really hang on to grudges. Definitely a book of life's priorities!
I have a clear soft spot for Nicolas Spark books. I do not think there is a single one that I did not love. However, this was not my favorite, maybe because it was from a male perspective or maybe because he was so much older than me and it was hard to relate. However, still an excellent read.
