Novellas are harder for me to review because their shortened format tends to mean I'm not going to get the full story I'm wanting. In this case, I was disappointed that I didn't get more scenes of this couple's growing intimacy outside of the bedroom. I'd have loved to see this couple check off items from the heroine's bucket list. The hero lost major points with me when he casually mentioned that he'd dropped a dog that he adored at the pound because it interfered with his ability to travel. Seeing his attachment to the new puppy helped redeem him some, but not 100%. My favorite thing about this book was that it was sex positive and the couple talked often about maintaining honest communication to avoid disappointment (although they clearly didn't practice what they preached until the end).

Under His Kilt is a hot little number, where it starts off as a no-strings-attached sexual relationship. I enjoyed all the hotness for sure.

I loved everything about this!  The build-up, the denial, the ache, the sexy times.  This was a slow burn novella.  The author pulled this off beautifully!

short, sweet and very steamy.

Ian is a hot, filthy talking Scot and Jocelyn is determined to seduce him. I do wish there was at least one scene where Ian was wearing a kilt and Joce got under it... but there was plenty of other action. The characters were well-developed and this was a great, steamy short.

This is so sweet and smutty. Also the ending did me in. Fuck! I am all in for sappy shit.

A quick fun sexy read that I devoured on my bus trip this morning. Definitely will check out more - they're sexy fluffy brain candy.

I raced through this after it was recommended on a BME romance authors list. It's really steamy short novel about a affair between temporary coworkers. Would happily read more.

This was a fun and steamy novella. At first I went in feeling a bit dubious, since the blurb on Goodreads has a few minor typos. I was quickly charmed by the author's voice. Jocelyn and Ian read like the kind of people you might actually meet in real life, and the conflict wasn't the overblown drama that seems to litter lots of contemporary romance. I'm not sure I would have tolerated it for a full-length novella, but for the word count, it was just right.

I loved that Jocelyn was the kind of woman who went for what she wanted, and Ian was a dreamboat who seemed like a totally believable guy to me. The Scottish bit also helped bring the sexy.

I would read more from this author. Her voice is a lot of fun, and I love her style.
