I think I would’ve rated this higher if it had gone a little further into what happened after in the end. I like it to be wrapped up a little more.

 I honestly have too much to say about this book lol

please for the love of god do not go into the woods alone with your friend to hike/camp if none of you know anything about survival or basic camping things.

This easily could have been 100 pages shorter and labeled as a horror short story, edited it a bit and it would have probably been a good book!

Let's talk about these characters... Neena and Josie are apparently "best friends" when honestly this felt like they hated each other for the whole book minus the like 20 pages at the end. Josie really not a good person, sure she's been through a lot and its okay to feel those emotions but that doesnt excuse her to be a bad person.
there is absolutely no way Josie wouldnt have bled out my having her bone pierce her leg and have her ENTIRE hand blasted off by a shot gun. There was just so much unrealistic stuff happening.

I could honestly rant about this book for hours but I'm gonna stop myself.

Meh. I figured I'd try it out, but I just don't think I'm a fan of this type of book. I like thrillers, but I don't particularly enjoy the story of young girls who have NEVER hiked before deciding to do a spur of the moment backpacking trip. They laugh about how they can barely carry their borrowed packs, and yet they still keep going. Of course, bad things happen, but I just didn't care. I had the audiobook book on 2x speed as I was getting things done the last few days. Now I know this genre isn't really my thing!
