This book was honestly the perfect romantasy book, it was written beautifully and I cannot wait for the next one to come out. I’m absolutely in love with the characters and their relationships. Loved it!!

If it’s romantasy then it is by a country mile the best one I have read. There was actual world building. None of the female characters hated each other- despite the set up. And there was significant plot twist that I didn’t hate. 5⭐️

So fun. Bridgerton but dark and with fae.
I had my suspicions about certain things but how everything went down was a surprise and I can't wait for the next book. Seriously, can't wait. Like I should have waited to read this until the series was complete because it's just that good 😭

This is honestly a pretty solid YA romantasy, despite my misgivings after seeing the cover. While it isn’t really breaking the mold in any way, it pretty competently does what it sets out to do. I often find myself cringing at the dialogue in both YA and romantasy but this was a very painless read in that regard. Everyone talks like real people, if not slightly too modern at times.
Interesting dynamic with the love interest(s). Could’ve easily felt like a standard love triangle but the stakes were well established. Love when main characters have to make cruel decisions for the greater good - Like all of Ivy’s actions with Bram for most of the novel are just so heartbreaking from an outside perspective but they must be done.
Overall just pleasantly surprised by this, though I thought it was a standalone when i picked it up so the ending was a surprise lmaoo

Overall, I enjoyed it.
I don't think it will be one of those books I remember forever, however, it was definitely a fun time while reading! The characters were entertaining, and I have to say, I didn't see the twist coming at the end (this is rare for me), so props for that.
I did find myself disconnecting from the characters a bit because of the way the intimate scenes were described. I found that with books that have spicy scenes and some content I don't agree with, I have to keep my guard up and can't let go and enjoy the book. This is something I learnt recently and will carry that through with my book choices in future.
