Enjoyed this one more than the first one, but I couldn’t help but think “leave him” for the first 50% of this. The writing was much better overall and I did grow to really like Tyler, but I had a hard time rooting for this relationship in the beginning because he continually treated Gracie like shit and she just kept letting him. It did get much better and I felt the emotions between them, and I understand Tyler’s back story, but I didn’t like the start of their relationship.

However, I am SO excited to read Adam’s book. Bring on the drama lol.

This was so much sadder than I was expecting!

We really got to know Gray and Tyler in this book, I like how much of the story was focused on their lives as well as their relationship.

There were a couple of things I didn’t love as well unfortunately. I don’t know if the novella was written before or after this book but two whole chapters were just lifted entirely from the novella so I’d already read them which was a little annoying. But I suppose I get it if this was written first.

There were also a few inconsistencies with the timeline and their ages, I could not for the life of me figure out how old they were meant to be. At one point Tyler is 3 years older than her, then he is the same age as her brother who is suddenly 6 years older in a flashback to their childhood. Then he answers the door in just a towel and the next thing you know she is taking his shirt off. It didn’t ruin anything but it pulls me out of the story when I get confused and have to figure out what’s happening.

I didn’t expect the sad elements in the book and I was devastated for both of them, but I like that they handled it together. I’m looking forward to reading Adam’s book next.

Ahh this one was so so good. Gracie and Tyler just squeezed all of my heartstrings. I could not tell you how many times my heart squeezed for them.

Tyler has had such a rough patch and so many bad hands dealt to him growing up. My heart lurched for this man. He is is broken but so so strong. I loved watching him slowly open up to Gracie, and finally realize he deserves to feel love and happiness.

Gracie is just a spitfire. I loved her bubbly and sassy personality. She gave Tyler the spark and light he needed in his life.

The spice y’all had me melting. Tyler is just drool worthy.

That ending had me sobbing. I was so so so sad for everyone. 😭

Ahhh I cannot wait for Adam’s book the epilogue had me so freaking intrigued for what is next for this group!!

It’s no shock that I’m obsessed with hockey romances so of course I loved this book too! Gracie is a wicked FMC - she’s strong & knows how to stand up for herself (umm hi can you teach me) & she was a great match for the broody sexiness that is Tyler Bateman. A perfect grumpy sunshine pairing!
