Tripp really was the perfect man.. but Magnolia my dear, stop being so dumb please.

This series just makes my heart swoon, the cowboys with hearts of gold and the Hollis family who take care of one another through the ups and downs of life. Tripp and Magnolia had me kicking my feet but also yelling at them to realize how perfect they are fro each other. And getting to see Noah and Fisher's relationship continue was just a wonderful bonus. Montgomery always throws in a twist that gets me on the edge of my seat to see how our couple will work through the chaos. I can't wait to see what she as in store for Landen and Ellie!

I enjoyed this. Pregnancy trope is very rarely something I enjoy but I really liked this book. I loved how it was paced and the character development. Small town romance for the win. 4.2 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I devoured this in damn near one setting solely due to Tripp and Magnolia. My love for them as both individual characters and a couple almost entirely made up for the problems I had with the plot and the pacing.

Seriously, Tripp should be the golden standard for book boyfriends. Once our sweet, anxious cowboy admitted his feelings, he was all in. Truly an unashamed, utterly obsessed simp in all the best ways possible. Magnolia was just as easy to swoon over and root for. She was authentic and relatable and unapologetically herself every step of the way. Also, I loved her career choice and her hustle. The representation of occupations and pathways other than the traditionally 'successful' or 'meaningful'. She was utterly happy and fulfilled with where she was in life and I couldn't have appreciated it more.

Now, learning about the pregnancy and the bulk of the backstory at the end of book one, but then not seeing it actually show up here until we were more than 50% through the story threw me off. Then, flying through the bulk of the pregnancy in just a few chapters felt a bit like a cop out. I enjoyed the evolution of Tripp and Magnolia's relationship, sure, but the overall pacing and timeline just didn't click. Plus, the whole Travis plotline did literally nothing for me. It was so overly dramatic and clichéd that I found myself honestly just skimming through any section that involved him.
The addition of the bookie bad guy targeting Magnolia for money and leverage felt so unnecessary to the story.

Overall, it wasn't perfect but it was fun, and Landen Hollis definitely has every bit of my love already. Onto book three!
