Some of these stories were great, others were not. But it’s cool to see that love triangles that span aaalllll genres and sexualities—everyone loves a love triangle!

One 4 and one 5 out of 16 stories, the rest 2 or 3 or question marks. Overall, I do not recommend this anthology. Too many stories were too weird, and there were no surprises. I would’ve enjoyed a same-sex twist in at least ONE of them. The ones I did like though? Number 1 and 5. Read them individually if you can, because they were great.

I will be completely honest and say that this anthology, overall, was a little disappointing. I don't mind a good love triangle every now and then, but I'm not a huge fan so maybe the rating is a little bias. A lot of the stories did have a unique spin on love triangles so that was a positive. But some of the stories were very hit and miss. I'm starting to think maybe anthologies aren't for me.

There were some definite stand-out short stories in here, and there is a vast array of diverse characters and pairings. Some of my favourites include Dread South by Justina Ireland (f/f), Lessons for Beginners by Julie Murphy (f/f), Vim and Vigor by Veronica Roth, and Waiting by Sabaa Tahir. There were some interesting and unique stories in here too, some which would probably work well as full-length novels. A couple of these are, The Historian, the Garrison, and the Cantankerous Cat Woman by Lamar Giles (which was, wow.), and Cass, An, and Dra by Natalie C. Parker (f/f).

Unfortunately, some of the stories were so...meh. Some authors managed to create such vivid world-building, and A+ characters in such a short story, but regrettably, I felt disappointed by too many stories in here for me to give this a higher rating. I think if you're a fan of anthologies, and you like unique spins on love triangles, you will probably like this a lot.

it took me a while to get into the stories, but it was worth it because my favorites were in the second half of the book. there are some forgettable but cute stories in here, but my favorites are vega by brenna yovanoff and unus, duo, tres by bethany hagen. brenna yovanoff’s writing was so beautiful and enchanting (i could not stop underlying her descriptions) and i loved the story, so i am very interested now in reading her other work. bethany hagen destroyed me with her story. i did not expect to be sobbing by the end of it because it is a short story and the characters are vampires which is not really my thing but it still absolutely destroyed me.

I’ve not read a collection of short stories in ages. There were a few gems in there, but overall not my favorite.

Very good book. I especially loved Justina Ireland & Lamar Giles stories.

After 4 grueling years, I'm glad to say I've finally finished this torturous book of mid-ness. Out of the 16 short stories, only 2 were to my liking, making this my first 1-star rating ever. I could go into further detail about each story and how I felt about them, but I'm honestly just so done. Never again.
