This was a great installment in the Luna Sisters series! I really enjoyed watching Isabel come into her own, gaining confidence and strength, all while fighting for her people back home in Mexico. I'm loving that historical romance is branching out and not just telling the same old stories, as we can see with the Luna sisters. Sirius was a wonderful hero - gentle, sweet, strong, definitely cinnamon roll vibes. The way he encouraged Isabel in her work and built up her confidence was wonderful. A charming book and I can't wait to read Gabby's book!

Thank you to NetGalley for an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

Gosh darn it, this second Luna Sisters book got me. I will always and forever be a sucker for a pining lead male falling for the invisible wallflower, and while this checked all those boxes, it was also rich with history. Throw in a little espionage and this was catnip for me. I think what kept it from a perfect 5 star for me was just a little bit of repetitive language and a bit of a dragging plot about 2/3rds through. However, this title still really shines, and if you enjoy any of the things listed above, it's well worth your time.

DID NOT FINISH

Meh struggled getting into. Waaaay too much set up about the wallflower who sometimes wishes she wasn’t but definitely takes advantage of being largely ignored

We need more historical romance like this! This was a fresh and informative historical perspective while also delivering lovable yet flawed characters who have great chemistry.

Liana de la Rosa is back with book 2 of The Luna Sisters *screams in spanish*

First off, WOW! Isabel’s character was so easy to fall in love with because it literally gives you that middle child trauma + a grown women determined to follow her instincts and her heart but most importantly, A women that will stop at nothing to save her beloved home country.. MEXICO!

The Rogue aka British intelligence member Sirius and Isabel story is one filled with hidden kisses, secret love and a partnership that will lead to so much more than expected.

I was a big fan of Ana Maria and the Fox but on this book, Liana took us on an incredible journey filled with espionage! British intelligence! Betrayals! Mexico history during the French occupation! Lovely characters and really HOT scenes!

Needless to say that I cannot wait for book 3, I cannot wait to see more of the Luna sisters, Fox, The Rogue and well..
