I love the history of this series and how it's shared with the reader.
I love the basic characters, though they feel mostly flat. What we know about them is told andnot shown.
I noticed this with the first novel in this series but excused it due to world building.
I was looking forward to this being less clunky in imparting the history with the story.
I feel somewhat like the characters take back stage to the history and political machinations.
Still I enjoyed this and look forward to Gabriela's story.

Isabel & the Rogue by Liana De La Rosa is another sexy & heartwarming installment in the Luna Sisters series. Isabel is such a great heroine—she’s a wallflower who’s also a spy for Mexico. The chemistry between Isabel & Sirius is so good & the audio for this one is fantastic. I’m loving learning more about 19th century Mexico & reading about Mexican heiresses wielding power in their largely prejudiced aristocratic social circle . 4.5 ️⭐️, out now.

The pace made it a little hard to get into at first. Maybe I would’ve liked it more if I listened to it. But it’s kinda like nothing much was happening and then a lot was happening at the end. But I did like Isabel and Sirius a lot.
