✨Thrifted ✨

This was a very sweet story. Shaun Bythell writes with such sarcasm and wit, many of the entries made me smile 🥰 Nicky (the longtime employee of The Book Shop) and Mr. Deacon (the dishevelled regular) were my two favourite characters in this story. I’d give it a 3.5 stars out of 5, as although there were so many entertaining entries, it wasn’t as enticing as ‘Weird Things Customers Say in Bookshops’ (maybe Bythell’s entries felt too long for me 🥲). Still, I would like to recommend this to any book lover looking for something easy and fun! ✨

Vallan riemastuttavaa luettavaa!

Witty, humourous and thoughtful. All vibes only. You’ll go through daily journal entries of a secondhand bookshop owner’s day-to-day life. Caught myself smiling at times.

I really love this style of non-fiction! It reminds me of This Is Going To Hurt by Adam Kay which is always going to be a glowing compliment

An enjoyable insight into running a bookshop selling second hand books. Loved the sense of humour. It was a fun read especially for book lovers. Can’t wait to visit The Bookshop in Wigtown someday.
