Tuck Everlasting is a classic about a family who find a spring in the forest and when they drink from it they live forever. Winnifred, a 11 year old from the small town meets this strong family and adventure ensues.
a very short sweet read, what starts out a hot summer day becomes a very entertaining fast paced adventure. A lovely novel for all ages.
This is a cute story that would be good for pre-teen level and parents of young children to read with them.

I remember reading and loving this book when my teacher read it to us in 5th grade. As an adult, and now a teacher, it was crazy to me how little I remembered when I went back to read it with a class of 5th graders this week. I remembered how atmospheric and cozy this story felt. I remembered the magic and heartache that surrounded the Tuck's and their dilemma. I remembered also developing a crush on Jesse Tuck, because like Winnie, I was 10 and he seemed amazing. I did NOT remember that Jesse was 17* (and then some). That felt icky now, and I was glad to see that the kids were also weirded out by that. (I'm going to chalk my past crush up to the fact that in the movie, Jesse and Winnie are much closer in age.) I also did NOT remember how bittersweet the ending was. Still, it was interesting to read a book I remember loving as a child from a different perspective.
4 stars for story, and 1 for nostalgia.
