A simple story with profound truths. Powerfully written. A quick read I highly recommend.

This was a really quick read and it also had a lot of awesome sybolizom and really great descriptions. There is so much more to this book than meets the eye. The philosophical questions that are brought up in Tuck Everlasting are really thought-provoking. This is a children's book but people of different age groups like it because it can be however you read it and interperate its message.
A classic!

3.5 stars for me which is a rating i chose from my CAWPILE rating system. I will also mention this story gets a little higher on the points since it's a classic story that I haven't had the pleasure to read until now. If I were to have read this in middle school like everyone else probably had, it would probably get the same rating or slightly higher like 4 stars. However, I think a 3.5 is a good compromise :)

I’m reading this book at 21, wishing I had it at 6 when I first understood what death was. It has always been something that scared me, still scares me to this day. Especially when all people can do is talk about the wonderfulness of being young, and for someone who doesn’t think she’s had a great life? That’s scary. Growing old, and all your life hair being memories...
If I’d read this book when I was younger, maybe I’d be less afraid. Yes dying is scary—it’s the ultimate unknown. But it’s the wheel, the only way the world works. And immortality isn’t the heaven it can seem to be. It’s a good lesson, to appreciate life as I have it, and to be happy that it can have meaning. I’m glad I read this story, I really needed it.

The only reason this is four stars is because I’m a sucker for fictional boys and it hurts a little that Winnie didn’t make THAT choice (I won’t spoil it, lol). But if it was me, I’d definitely have a hard time saying no lololol.

A must-read.

Meh. I was honestly pretty bored during it. I felt like the idea of exploring immortality had potential, but I was not impressed with the depth or scope of that exploration.

I know I've seen the movie, but I don't really remember it. I do remember crying during it, so it at least got me to care.
