This novel is one of the best I've ever read so far. It's reallyyy emotional and hear-warming as the main character goes through the journey of a loss of a loved one. To be completely honest, some small things weren't fully explained, but I really didn't feel like it bothered me as the story was woven together almost perfectly. I would just say that if you have recently lost someone just postpone this book for sometime. Aside from that, it is beautiful.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

**Synopsis:** less you know, the better. Just know it’s a clean, YA, romance, sad, & about grief.

**Personal thoughts:** I really enjoyed this book. It was a beautiful story about love, family & grief. I loved the friendship with his cousin. Very heartfelt story!

**Spicy level:** 🌶️/5 | minimal romantic gestures

This book was so sad. I needed something emotional to read and I’m glad I chose this. It’s been sitting on my shelf for awhile and I had been meaning to get to it.

Its a short read so, I made it my mission to finish it last night but it was sad from the JUMP so I had to take several breaks and scroll through TikTok just to collect myself.

I genuinely couldn’t imagine what it would be like to have someone die, call them…and have them answer. I mean could YOU imagine? Knowing they’re never going to walk along side you again but somehow you can still speak to them on the phone?

There was definitely some magic in this book, obviously things like that are unrealistic but what makes the story so beautiful is the second chance to say goodbye. A lot of times when we lose someone abruptly we don’t get that chance.

I would definitely recommend this if you feel like crying because I did several times while reading this.

Heartbreakingly beautiful. I loved the role of the cell phone in demonstrating grief: healthy and unhealthy coping mechanisms, distraction from life, detraction from relationships, self-serving attitude, denial and acceptance, memory... So well done. It is cute yet poignant. Beautifully written, especially for a YA novel, but beautiful nonetheless.
