I'd say this book falls somewhere between YA and New Adult. I like that it explored the ups and downs of that first year of college. The book does discuss some heavier topics, but this just made it feel more realistic to a lot of people's experiences. Also love a bisexual disaster main character!

Super fun read!! Didn't think I'd enjoy it as much as I did. The way this book discussed sex was so lighthearted and natural, and I absolutely loved being inside the MC's head. She's silly and crazy and I like to follow her thought process, which I sometimes related to lmfaoo

Really nice slow burn across the book, good character development but the ending felt rushed and I would have appreciated fleshing it out more, especially after the long buildup

glad i gave this a good chance, it got a lot better about halfway in. the narration reflected Elliot's character development in a super satisfying way. i found her to be a ~fresh~ coming of age protagonist; she's not shy, bookish and insecure! i enjoyed how her self-awareness was neither a flaw nor a fix for her flaws. there's definitely a missing scene at the end. why was Rose talking about good sex more sexy than when she gets together with Elliot!! this isn't Fleabag...

cute, sex positive without being graphic at all, could inspire lots of conversations about consent, sexuality, virginity, and lots of other concepts. I enjoyed it but I must say. . . tender chicken? Seriously? *puke*
