Stop reading reviews and just pick this up. This is a book you read for atmosphere and excerpts. The plot is secondary to the beautiful musings about love and society. So many passages in this feel like they were written this year despite being published in 1989. I just read something that will influence me for the rest of my life. Please ZANDO translate more of Tondelli’s work into English. I’m beside myself that this is his only English translation.
