Kristoff is just an outstanding story teller. Masterful writing and the audio production was superb. Fair warning ... not for the squeamish but highly recommended for those who love grimdark fantasy.

This was everything I wanted it to be and more. Do NOT be fooled by the amount of time it took me to read this, it was BRILLIANT but I just couldn't stop crying.
If you want a book thats 2% laughs 98% emotional torture this is the one for you.
This is my book of 2025 and will only be topped by Book 3.

I wanted to like it more, but I am really just finishing out the story I was only half interested in after reading the first book. Some unique ideas, but also a lot of ideas taken from other writers.

Oh. My. GODDDDDD. Oh my god. I am shook right now. I went from being absolutely heart broken to being PUMPEDD, in less than 20 pages. LETS FUCKING GOOOOO!!!
Wow.. I am just awestruck right now. What a fabulous fucking book. I can’t believe it was possible, but this was even better than the first book. And when I mean better, I mean, 1000x’s better, and the first was a masterpiece! The plot twists in this one is INSANE. Just absolutely bonkers. Im still digesting everything over here. I will be thinking about this for weeks. This entire book is class A writing. There is no dull moment. It is 700 pages of pure chaos and blood shed and holy shit, it’s just amazing. This has officially became my second favorite series I’ve ever read.
Mr. Kristoff, you have become my second favorite author. You are a literal genius. This is absolutely brilliant and I will never not stop recommending this series to my book friends. November 2025 seriously can’t get here fast enough. Man I can’t WAIT to read the next. Hell yes!!
