While in NY for a little post-surgical (lost an eye in the line of duty saving a family from a burning car), he sees a body fall into a taxi killing everyone but the alpaca in the back seat. Saving that spitting alpaca from being shot by a pissy cop starts off an even wilder adventure! This series is one eye rolling mess of fantastic characters who have no trouble with a bit of a body count! Happy Reading!

This started off as a joke read. I saw it in my BookBub email and thought how is this a book? It was $0.99 so I thought it would be worth the laugh. I’ll admit it was better than I thought it would be. Just go into not taking it seriously, because it isn’t taking itself to serious.
The humor is does quite hit for me. I can see it, see where the author wants it to be, but doesn’t get there for me. The writing isn’t terrible. Ultimate I DNF’d it at 58% because the plot was a bit chaotic. Not bad, just not for me.

Delightful and full of action
RJ Brain is a master of action, banter and laughs. Shane and Marian are colorful and funny but even the side characters are worth getting attached to. I love Ernesto!

If you want a book filled with magic, love and a barrel of laughs this series is for you. With every chapter you will have no clue what is going on but you will find your self in love with every second of your confusion. If you want to find out how a book can start of with a cute spitting alpaca and end with 2 shifters in love riding a demented blood thirsty tricorn (yes that's a three horned unicorn) well surrounde by lots of odd creatures that love them dearly. Then this is the book for you.

The main character is a one-eyed former police office with a werewolf for a dad and a witch for a mother(who wanted his eyeball to put on her desk). The only reason i didn't give it one star was because I liked the alpaca.
