Ragazzuoli questo libro mi ha veramente tanto confusa ma allo stesso tempo mi ha veramente molto intrigata, non riesco nemmeno a fare una recensione decente perchè non so da dove iniziare.
Quello che posso dire al riguardo è che se vi aspettate una cosa stile Ombra del vento mi dispiace deludervi ma cambiate libro. Si tratta senza dubbio di un libro legato ad esso perchè ritroviamo la nostra Barcellona e i Sempere per cui vi consiglierei di continuarlo apposta per questo ma si tratta anche di un romanzo che mette al centro uno scrittore con un passato molto oscuro e con una visione della vita molto tragica: David Martin infatti non solo non sembra avere nessuno accanto a sè ( il padre gli era stato ucciso ), ma sembra che tutti quelli che abbiano a che fare con lui siano dei traditori ( vedi Pedro Vidal, amico che lo aiuta ad ottenere lavoro ma poi gli frega Cristina, ragazza di cui era innamorato ) o personaggi inesistenti e frutto della sua intera immaginazione (
Vedi Corelli ). L'unica reale sembra essere Isabella, unico personaggio che ha saputo portare un tocco di leggerezza in questo romanzo.

I really enjoyed this book, one of the fast paced historical fiction book I’ve ever read!
Not a dull moment, but loads of confusing moments especially the last 150 pages, where the writer leaves you thinking, questioning, and confused as nothing seems very clear, and you start not believe in anything that’s is happening which I find quiet successful.
Although I gave it a medium rating, I still did enjoyed reading the book and I’ll certainly continue reading the series.

A bit different from the first book (SOTW) in the series in that it was more open ended, and I felt it was more open to reader interpretation than logic. Might not have lived up to its predecessor but still so much better than half the current books on the market. Looking forward to the third book.
