Myślę, że dużą wadą tej historii jest to, że naprawdę bardzo wolno się rozwija. Pewnie miało to na celu stworzenie klimatu, co nie zmienia faktu, że preferuję kiedy książka wciąga właściwie do początku. Na szczęście później akcja przyśpiesza i nawet zaskakuje. Ostatecznie zostawiła mnie jednak z dużym niedosytem, chciałabym wiedzieć więcej o Corellim i Marlasce (i o samym Cmentarzu również!). Mimo wszystko nie mogę zaprzeczyć stwierdzeniu, że jest to bardzo dobrze napisana książka, a jeśli "Cień wiatru" przypadł Ci do gustu, to "Gra anioła" również powinna.

I ADORED Shadow of the Wind. It is one of my favorite books of my literate lifetime -- while a mere 25 odd years may not seem overly complimentary in the grand scheme of things, I assure you that my library and Borders Rewards cards have been worn thin during that time. Anyway, I read about the pending release of Angel's Game here on Goodreads a couple months ago and had put myself on the hold list at the library within the hour. Unfortunately, this series second is not nearly as good as the first. Not that they typically are. Nonetheless, it is still an entertaining dose of intrigue even if it does fall a little flat in parts. Of course, any comparison to Shadow is a hard sell.

Probablemente el mejor libro que he leído en mi vida. Lo amo, amo a David Martín y realmente no me preocupa saber cuál es la realidad. Creo que la razón por la que la gente prefiere el primero (La Sombra del Viento) a este, es porque se esperaban algo similar. Las discusiones son brillantes, estés de acuerdo con su cinismo o no. La mente de David Martín es compleja en esencia y muchos se han roto la cabeza intentando pensar qué es realidad y qué es producto de su mente. Para mí, no hay que buscarle tanto significado ni sentido, esa es la realidad.
