more than anything, really, i'm terrified of losing my mind. so this book hit hard in a way i wasn't expecting. and idk how to feel about it, whether I like it more because of that personal connection, or whether I can't like it as much as other books because it's too personal. maybe I'll never know. It was well written and I empathize with saiorse more than should be possible, I was an angsty miserable 17 year old, terrified of the future, too, once.
but also she should have taken the oxford offer. just on a personal level.

i liked and disliked the same thing: that so many things happened. for a romance novel i liked that there was more to the main characters than the romance they were involved in, but there was so much drama i didn’t always believe it. also why isn’t the main character in therapy yet?
nevertheless, i loved the wittiness of the main characters and i enjoyed reading it since it was easy and cute but didn’t lack depth. i liked the dementia representation and that the lesbians were just lesbians and weren’t figuring it out / insecure / dealing with a lot of homophobia. it was casual and normal and i miss that in a lot of novels.
