I hate fake dating and characters with lots of exes, are attracted to lots of people, etc... I thought I was gonna hate this. Instead, it had some of the best character writing and depictions of mental health and familial issues I've ever seen. Loved it!

added an extra .25 star for the snarky dry humor bc this was hilarious. every sentence was highlighted.

lucien is the dream protagonist bc his inner monologue is self-deprecation and puns, the best combo.

Why was this so cringe, I can’t even. The end was sweet and everything but omg the way they were going until they were there, NOOOOOO!

They did not like eachother a bit and I know that is normal in fake dating but it was still just weird. THERE IS A REASON THIS IS NOT A TROPE I LIKE!!! But still, if you don’t mind the cringiness of fake dating, this book is for you.

Entertaining, funny, amusing, and wholesome. I was kind of annoyed by how reactive the main character is until later on, and I felt like the resolution was definitely not fleshed out enough to resolve the conflict right before the end, but I enjoyed it anyways!

the characters all felt like real people and the conflicts felt very genuine. a very interesting take on the 'fake dating' trope too!!! needed one more pass through by a copy editor for a couple of typos but it doesn't matter to the content of the text.

This book was so damn cheesy… Entertaining but I wouldn’t particularly recommend it to be honest.
