This book was too British, it confused my American mind
This book was fantastic. Luc is my type of guy. The jokes were incredibly funny. There were some words that I had to look up in the dictionary because Oliver was being tooo fancy or they were kind of just made up. I loved the love story. I really recommend this book. Luc can be heterophobic at times but he has good reasons. He can also make the dumbest decisions but he's still loved.
If you know the James Royce-Royce one and two, it can be really confusing detinguishing the two. Anyways, goodnight

The only time a book brought up anxiety and dealt with it in such a healthy way I didn't wish they would see a therapist. And ooey gooey love of course.
This had me grinning like an idiot walking down the street. It was so dang cute and I loved it on Audiobook! I adored Luc and Oliver and Luc’s precious and weird group of friends.
A fun and often insightful look into how self-esteem, external pressures and mental health all rolls our lives into messy balls. Though parts dragged on, and sometimes the supporting characters did seem more interesting, the ending revived the plot.

Re-read. Just incredibly well written, full of funny British-isms with great supporting characters. The two MCs are both pretty messed up, but they work it out. Not a huge fan of the whole "needing another person to complete you", I prefer it to be "figuring out your issues before meeting someone" but idk now that I think about it, that's probably a me problem that I need to work on. I digress. This was good and an enjoyable read, even though both Luc and Oliver kinda annoyed me sometimes, but it's hard to write a good, enjoyable book with MCs that aren't that likeable imo.
