Cute, fun read

This was a cute, fun read. I felt compelled to root for the main characters and was drawn in by their relationship. Nothing earth-shattering but if you enjoy a quick beach read, this might be your book.

Well that occupied my time today!

This one was a steady read. If you ask me what it is about... It's about a rich boy who always got what he wanted, until he meets this girl. That girl on the other hand, is just like any other girl, really.. only a little snarkier than usual and has flaming red hair. She breaks down all of his rules and makes him fall to his knees. It's not that complicated. Honestly, this was a streamline read. It was steady and it was kind of predictable...

but then...

YOU HAVE TO LOOK FORWARD TO THEM GETTING TOGETHER.

What happens when a rich handsome man whore tries to breakdown the defenses of an ice princess?

I swear they could be oh so cute and oh so sweet!!! They're amazing. One thing that I can say for this couple is THEY CAN TALK. They can banter very well and they make sense when they converse with one another.

I wanted them to have a happily ever after and that's what I got.

Honestly speaking, their dilemma in this book is not that deep since like I've said, this is a steady read. I still have questions regarding their future because of "the parents", but since I think the author is focusing in the "now", I'll give it a chance. Maybe I'll see more of this couple in the next books. Anyway it ended well and that's what's important. :)

couldn't put it down. I really liked Jade and Shep, I did think their relationship was a bit underdeveloped. But the sex scenes were well written. Jade is nobody's fool and that made a change from the usual doormat heroine that so often features in the romance books I read. Shep was cocky and arrogant on the surface, but deep down he had a vulnerable side. Overall this was a good read.

For a book that liked to talk about climaxes the plot sure didn’t have one.

Meh. At the beginning of the story, Jade is sassy and bossy, but she very quickly turns into a self-conscious wimp, which is disappointing. Shep is sweet, as is their story, but I would have liked more spark and substance.

Not particularly the best of books, especially in the New Adult genre. I find the genre a little tedious now; hardly any new, fresh voices.

This book has too many problematic elements to get a higher rating. I think I should have given up with this one quite early on, but I kept convincing myself it would get better, and by the time I had accepted it wouldn't, I was so far into the book that I thought I may as well finish it. Definitely won't be continuing on with this series.

So, not going to lie, I like books like this. There is just something about a cocky alpha male that makes me weak in the knees. Unfortunately, after about 20% of the book I was just feeling meh.

The characters were interesting but I felt that they were just like any other romance. There wasn't anything that made me want to keep reading.

I didn't enjoy all of the angst in the book either. It was really angsty and then magically everything was okay. I just wish that there was more depth.

Ultimately, I wanted more out of the book.

I tried another. The sex scenes are too aggressive for me.
