Happy little werewolves. Cambrie is abused and kicked up by her father, escapes and find her pack. Stolen at the end by the bad guy so it's a cliff hanger. I like Oscar and Brody's relationship.

DID NOT FINISH: 77%

She just turned 18 and has been completely cut off from the world. They are (almost) double her age.
Whilst I like the characters in general, this just feels wrong to me.

She goes into heat a few days after coming to stay with them AND they are btw her first / only real contact to the world after escaping her abusive father. She is infantilized several times and her innocence is highlighted. They still have sex with her even though there are other options. One of them even acknowledges that it's wrong but these comments get ignored  “Fuck, it’s like she’s drunk. How is this okay? She doesn’t really know what we are asking or understand what she’s giving consent to."

None of this is necessary for the plot, it would have been possible to make her a bit older and them younger
and to stretch the time span so that her heat is when she has been there for months already.

I really don't understand the insistence of having the FMC be freshly 18 in these types of romance books.. slightly icky. the politics is a drag, the plot could be more fun.

It’s a duet so leaves on a cliffhanger. I feel like the first part was more focused on character and relationship building and part two will be more focused on plot progression.

Favorite non-spoiler quote: “People who care about each other don’t tear each other down.”
