DNF around 40%? Sometimes I'm really in the mood for an iddy, wattpaddy omegaverse with wild levels of hurt/comfort, but this one wasn't hitting right for me. Too much infodump no-one-talks-like-this dialogue and an overly infantilized heroine.
Writing is so bad. Also she's 18 and a prospective pack member is not only significantly older, he's a therapist and seems like he's going to fill that role for her too? Ick

Least believable was how fast she warmed to the men given the trauma. Also didn’t like the age gaps. She’s just too vulnerable given the age and past abuse. I’ll suspend belief given the biological aspects of omegaverse trumping the rational

I appreciate the plot of the book and the general idea behind the whole thing but the dialogue leaves something to be desired.
The first two three chapters and the last two chapters were actually well written but the dialogue was just simply awful, I get the author was trying to create these emotional and insightful scenes but if every word that comes out of the characters always has to be deep and insightful then the book becomes exhausting to read.
That said I am looking forward to book two cause like I said I like the plot and it's not a terrible book, the dialogue between the main characters specifically was just terrible.
