It's a beautiful story of two girls who played a big part in each other's lives. Even though we don't learn much about Sylvie, we get to know Andrée to the extent she allowed her closest people to. Every moment of this novel is filled with the whole spectrum of emotions. But just like colors, when you mix a lot of them, they become darker and darker, until they turn black. 

Nonetheless, I enjoyed every bittersweet second of it.

This was an absolutely fantastic portrayal of deep female friendships and how often they become unbalanced. It’s also an interesting exploration of the queer woman falling for the straight woman and how that often leads to heartbreak.

Once again, organized religion being weaponized is shown to be the ultimate horror.
