Not her best or worst. Disappointing ending, but still light and enjoyable.
This was much longer than it needed to be, but I was definitely drawn into the characters and I kept going for them.
Marguerite's story intrigued me. I enjoyed hearing about the start of her restaurant and her career as a chef. I definitely wanted to know what happened that caused her to withdraw from everything and do what she did to herself.
Renata... I just wanted to see her break free from the forces that always seemed to control her and learn what she needed to learn about her family and her past.
In the end, I was happy I had read it, even if it could have been much shorter than it was.

I was originally going to start out saying that while good, this was my least favorite Elin Hilderbrand book. Compared to the others I've read, this one moved very slow.
After finishing, this one was amazing! The slow burn was absolutely worth it. Such a wonderful story about love and time and forgiveness.
I've been to Martha's Vineyard and I love all things New England. Ms. Hilderbrand's books have me waiting for summer to plan a trip to Nantucket.

I actually liked this one more than Barefoot and Silver Girl, the two I had read most recently. It's simpler, slower, with a more developed cast of characters. (Although why include the Action scene at camp if nothing was going to come of it?) The ending, however, is unsatisfying.

I haven't gotten very far into it yet, but the beginning was ok. My biggest gripe is that I don't speak French and do not know how to pronounce French words and names, so I feel like I'm missing a part of the story by stumbling mentally over those terms.
