This book was okay, just okay. The main character is a bit annoying in the way she’s trying to figure out who did it and the person who actually did it is very obvious. The magical element of this book is…..weird. It seems out of place in a way.

Good book, but I don't think I will finish the series. I found some parts super boring and the mystery was barely in the book. I also found that it dragged on towards the ending of the book.
This is my first cozy mystery book, and I don't know if this genre just isn't my cup of tea, or if it was this book... but I was just a little bored. I predicted a lot of what would happen, and for a book about a witch, we didn't get much magic happening.

I found this book as a highlighted choice in my library’s Halloween collection and am so glad I did. I felt myself cheering for the characters very early and can’t wait to read Josie’s next adventures!
