That funny moment when you absorb a atomic bomb-like laser blast. 😜 honestly though this a was a good wrap up of the series. Favorite parst of the book was probably the twist of the fates and when Akos was in dad jail.

Either a storyline had no build-up or no resolution. That made it hard for me to really get into it. I didn't have that with the first book, but I was done quickly with the second one. I did finish it but don't have the desire to ever read it again

I love seeing writers grow and develop. I read the Divergent series with a kind of panting excitement. At First. The plot ran in repetitive circles and I began to despise the fickle protagonist. However, this series, this book, this is her coming into her own as a writer. She has created a whole solar system with intricate detail of even the plant life. The politics of the system while complex was easy to follow because it was driven by real, grieving, self-sacrificing, overwhelmed characters. I would highly recommend for all fantasy lovers (and those who are a bit sick of the overly sappy paranormal romance currently flooding the market)
