I loved this a lot. It was really cute and the art was fantastic. The art especially in the climactic scene, when

the collector's shadow powers essentially became the pages framing was really cool.

This is everything you want a found family book for kids to be.

The one issue I have with this is (minor spoiler but I will still tag)

the whole "reptiles are trying to take over the government" thing, because that conspiracy theory has antisemitic origins.

This is not enough of an issue to bring down my rating, because it was not done in a harmful way or with malicious intent, it just rubbed me the wrong way.

I love this little family of irregularities and all the characters in this story! The art and colors were so vibrant. I also enjoyed the mix of adventure, mystery, humor, and emotional content.
