This one is all right. Nothing too special, so nothing stands out. A billionaire has made a poor real estate decision, so he's hoping for anything to help it take off. Cue an internet-only baking show. Chloe is down on her luck after having her money stolen by her jackass cousin and her gram's death.

Jack is the billionaire who hates Christmas and owns the building where the show will be filmed. And, of course, we have a protagonist, Hartley. She's bat-shit crazy and thinks that Jack and her will be together. Chloe catches Jack's eye, of course.

It's a cute little Christmas story, and I'll listen to the short story after it because it's included in the Audible version.

Just a plain old 3-star rating for me.

I love this whole world that Alina Jacobs has put together. I have read some of the others first, Not even remotely close to in order, but I cannot help but love all the characters and their stories. I love the twist that Jack Frost hates the holidays and Chloe was so sweet and fun. They made a great balancing couple.

This was fine, a bit silly, but as to be expected from another book in the beginning of the series!

While the spice was nice, the writing style was awful. The way it switched from one scene to the next so mindlessly it was so confusing. Something would happen and I’d be like wait what? I thought we were in a grocery store. It was a cute story line though.

Ok, I know Christmas season is no longer upon us, but to be fair, I just found Alina Jacobs and I really, realllllllly wanted to read a baker romance, so I don’t care that I read Eating Her Christmas Cookies now instead of saving it for the next holiday. While Eating Her Christmas Cookies didn’t make me laugh as much as In Her Candy Jar did, I think I loved this book even more than the first Alina Jacobs book I read. And while Chloe and Jack’s story has more than 400 pages, I never felt like it dragged on and I never got tired of them. They were sweet and cute and I couldn’t get enough! Eating Her Christmas Cookies was simply wonderful and I don’t know where I’m going to next with this author, but I think I just might have to come back to her frequently to get all caught up!
