Love, Stargirl by Jerry Spinelli

When I first started I was excited to read the book, I had loved the first one after all. It quickly bore me. Until the interdiction of the neighbor who was afraid to go outside, and Perry, the boy who had gone to "boot camp". The story was ok, I like adventure books but I went out on a limb here. My favorite part of the book was when she went into the house to save anyone trapped there. It finally added the 'magic' of Stargirl for me, She is a person who will help anyone. The boy dilemma that happened was frankly, a little annoying because I feel like she could've done more with other things. But this is coming from me, a person who loves fantasy, and adventure books.

Do I dare say I liked this one better than the first. Maybe because Stargirl was so intriguing it was great to hear her side and her story. I was pulled in and nerve left. I really enjoyed this book.

I think the reason I had originally listed this is as a five star because I wasn't expecting it to exist. I still enjoyed it this time around.

This one made me emotional. Star girl is so wonderful. I truly love this character and I am glad that we got her side and her healing journey.

I am upset that they do not have children read *both* books in the duology in school. It feels irresponsible and cruel even to ignore one side (the female) side of the story.

Aw man I didn't know what to expect with this and it feels like a tease if there's never going to be another one. But... I really like this book on its own. I thought it was great. And some things about it really hit home for me. And one scare in it made me cry, lol.

If there were half stars in this system I would have given it 3 and a half.
It is a cute book, but I think that I preferred the first one in the series (Stargirl). I liked looking at the character of Stargirl from someone else's perspective rather than her own. I would recommend both books, however.
