So I grew to like this book the further it went on and I’m glad I didn’t DNF. I don’t know if this is really picky but the main thing I didn’t like is that the main character didn’t say sorry, like when
she leaves and forgets about the kitchen and then comes back and Colin has cleaned it up she doesn’t say anything at all
. Idk maybe that’s being really pedantic but it happened a few other times too (maybe I missed that this was intentional). However this book definitely grew on me and I thought it was good towards the end. I will definitely give Lynn Painter’s other books a go, I have heard amazing things! :)

A fun brother’s best friend romcom with a twist! The banter was great between the two, but it just left me wanting a little more. If you enjoy movies like You’ve Got Mail, this one is for you!

The characters in this were amazing! Yes, Liv could come across as a bit rude at times, in terms of how she treated Colin’s apartment, but she was hilarious. I loved her and found her to be rather endearing and would love a friend like her. There would never be a dull moment. As for Colin, I adored him. I loved every interaction between him and Liv whether it was their hilarious back and forth remarks or the romantic/lust scenes. My heart went every time he called her Marshall or sunshine.

I also loved all the interactions with the secondary characters - Liv and Sara, Liv & Jack, Colin and Jill and Colin and Jack. Even though the book didn’t need it, I would have loved to have seen more of those relationships.

The storyline was a classic romcom and I could not get enough! I loved how it played out. The humour was just perfect! It’s my kind of humour and exactly how I would be with a partner in terms of the back and forth banter. I think I may have been 2 pages in before I started laughing.

Pretty meh. The conceit of the plot didn't make sense, and the main characters spent so.much.time talking about how they had such great chemistry/banter, which I didn't see. Their families pretty much sucked, and their personalities were one-dimensional. Quick listen, as I had chores to do today, but not recommendable.
