I was pleasantly surprised by this read. Although a bit hard to get into the world-building initially (something I've found in other books by Bardugo too), I really enjoyed reading this mix of dark academia and urban fantasy.

I'm looking forward to the release of the next book (which is soon-ish)

spooky ghosts, very Halloween New England witchy core vibes, love the college setting and the magic houses/secret societies and the pretty compelling mysteries going on - it did drag at parts and sometimes we just weren’t given enough lore/information but it was generally fun with a badass main character and fun and interesting side characters - heavy TWs fyi
