Book was amazing. I really enjoyed the chemistry between the two characters
There’s just something about reading young love that I will always gravitate towards. Being married to my high school sweetheart may be a huge reason why lol!
Hands down a five-star book! Amazing storyline, awesome writing, and truly entertaining! A hot and steamy emotional roller coaster of a book that will be (as said by DJ Khaled) “another one” to add to my favorite 18 plus reads!

Ladies, let me tell you, this story was something else. I loved these characters from the beginning to the very end. Even when they pissed me off! It’s a dark read with just a touch of sweetness, just to my liking. Truly fan-freakin-tastic and definitely going onto my list of favorites. It’s also my first time reading a book by this author so I’m excited to read more from her.
I truly love this book deep, deep, and to Ms. Rhodes writing this...

It’s the way I was actually fighting for my life to finish this book. I really should have stopped reading after chapter 2, but nosy me needed to finish it to see how this mess ended.
It’s so weird to me how people romanticize abuse like this, especially being sexually assaulted, when if they were actually being abused by their partner they would be the first ones screaming, crying, and begging for help. Because in actual reality there is nothing romantic about being choked out and sexually assaulted and told, if you tell anyone, they will kill you.
Noah is a very disgusting character who was not redeemable in any, no matter how hard the author tried to force it down the readers throats with his stupid sob stories. He treated Truely like shit throughout the whole book until literally the last three chapters when he finally “saw the light” or whatever. Truely is a very weak character and spends most of the book moping around and allowing herself to get abused because her mom died or whatever. Noah literally rapes her the first two chapters of the book but the thing that causes her to break up the relationship is because Noah lied to her. Like girl you’re okay with rape but lying is where you draw the line

Books like this are so dangerous and I am sooooo disgusted.
Thrilling and passionate. An adventure you’ll never want to end.
The characters are layered and full of wit and fire and surprises. From the first page I knew I was in for a treat. Passion is a live wire set to ignite with a touch. Watching them explore boundaries and question themselves was so beautiful to watch. Buckle up for a thrilling adventure with drops that’ll have your heart in your throat. All the feels sink in to you deeper with each page.

So, there's so many things I can - and maybe should- go over, but I won't, because at the end of the day, I did enjoy the book. One of the things I liked most though was the trip, I felt like I was right there with them through it all, that when it came to an end I felt sadder about it than even Truly herself.
Another thing I feel like I can't keep to myself is that, the opening sentence in the 1st chapter, may be my least favorite opening sentence ever, and it almost got me to not go on, and I still very much hate it, yet I won't let the things I hate stop me from enjoying the whole.
Last thing is, about the rating, these days I'm just too mentally and emotionally tired to overanalyse, that's why I don't compare any book to another I read b4 it, even if they had any similarities. I just go with my gut, simply whether I enjoyed it or not. Just focusing on what I liked, and ignoring what I didn't like.

If there is something good that has come from this whole Black Lives Matter situation, a situation that is long overdue, besides the most obvious being human rights, it is finding authors that weren't on my radar before. This was an exceptional book.
There were times it made me feel uncomfortable but at the same time intrigued to see how things were going to play out between Truly and Noah. There was a complexity and vulnerability to them that I was drawn to and I enjoyed watching them come to terms with their baggage. I really enjoyed watching Noah on his path to be better.
I struggled with the side characters, Becca and Ethan, which is why this book didn't rank higher. Aside from the friendship that they offered to Truly and Noah, their relationship and fights didn't really serve a purpose.
Still, a great book. I'll be looking for more from this author.
