Okay so pay attention to the trigger warnings for this book...That being said, bless Carmel for writing this.

"If another man touched you, I'd kill him." Sir, you're a high school basketball player. Calm down buddy.

“You can run, Tru, but I’ll always catch you.”

Yo. I’m so happy I found this author. This was an amazing Book if you like overly scary possessive boys. Noah is trouble to a T. But you can’t help but fall in love with him.
He’s broken and trying to figure out how to love properly. Tru is trying to figure out who she is and stop bending for others.
This is a love story and has an HEA. You can’t help but fall in love with all the side characters too. Ugh. This was such a good book.

TW: ALL OF EM! Child abuse, sexual assault, drinking/drugs, mean girl, slut shaming, talk of unaliving oneself.

Definitely a WTF am I reading and why can't I stop. Like a train wreck I couldn't stop watching. Questioned my own morals and sanity the entire time. Think it can't get any worse... It does. Noah was a complete ass. Straight toxic.

Dark romance where girl's boyfriend abruptly dumps her at graduation, and then his half-brother adds insult to injury by assaulting her at a party. Girl is furious and sick over what happened, but three weeks of forced proximity with the half-brother leads to a twisted attraction. Reminded me of Untouchable by Sam Mariano, which I loved, but ultimately neither the characters nor plot in this book drew me in quite as much. I can't really put my finger on why.

Mmmm... Noah. What a delicious mix of alpha and dark and sweet.

Fresh out of high school, Truly Parker has her whole life ahead of her. But not everything is as it seems. Life changes in the blink of an eye and her world is thrown off kilter. And Noah doesn’t help matters. If anything, he makes them worse. Or does he?

Truly will keep you glued to the pages and eager to read more. Truly’s story is packed with intensity and heat and those feral moments you crave.

If Dark and Twisted with a dominating Alpha is your jam then this is the book for you. This book starts off quick, and pulls the reader in with no time to fully digest everything you are reading until the end of the book. The author puts a trigger warning in the beginning of the book, and take note of it before reading.

While this book does focus on the dark, and twisted there is also some light to it as well. Truly wants to feel as close to her dead mom as possible, and finds the best way to do it. She wants to reenact a trip that her mom took before she started college. I love that Truly was able to have a piece of her mom through this book, but was able to find herself in the process.

roller coaster of emotions

If she wasn’t a book character I would tel her to run and not look back, Tru is strong woman and Noah is unstable and crazy but somehow they fit! People grow up and change!
