It has been a VERY long time since I’ve wanted to read a romance that is just that- romance and nothing else. That and the title made me a little skeptical. However, this novella was so FREAKING CUTE.
Yes okay, it had some moments that made me roll my eyes so hard and also Sloane’s reaction to Marco was a little OTT, but overall- this was sweet and made me smile. The romance developed slower than I expected which of course, was a bonus!

An emotional and adorable story of friends-to-lovers trope. Also gay-for-you trope. Lots of nuzzling and cuddling. Also finding your sexuality. For an emotional story, that cover and title sure didn't advertise substance at all. I'm glad I gave this book a try though because it turns out that I like it.

I think this is the first book I have read from this author, although I know several are on my to-buy and to-read list. Solid writing, good chemistry between the two, some angst, some drama, and some sexy times as Sloane and Dean become more than friends.

I absolutely loved this book. Sloane really was the biggest grump, and it took him forever to recognize how deep and romantic his feelings for his best friend Dean were. I loved that Dean always accepted grumpy Sloane no matter what. It is a slow burn with very realistic feels for a GFY love story. Adored Dean, and well no wonder he loved his best Protective Friend Sloane! this book is a fun quick read introducing us to a fantastic cast of characters for the rest of the series.
What a beautiful book. It goes beyond sexual preferences and into what a soulmate can be. Devoured this story. I love Sloane & Dean!!

A great story about self discovery for Sloane and finding feelings for his friend. I've read this author before and like his books. Angst, sercets, friends to lovers, a grumpy character, jealousy, sexy scenes and more. I really liked this one.

I'm sorry to say that this was flat, repetitive, and one-dimensional (characters and theme).
This was such a sweet and very sexy book! I loved how honest and real the characters were. And the sex scenes were perfection (even though I personally think Dean needed a bit more preparation for Sloane’s one eyed snake lmao). I will definitely be continuing on in this series. I hope a future book is about Simmons!
