Daniel Handler (aka. Lemony Snicket) had an amazing idea for this book but I don't believe it reached it's full potential. I think it was very jumpy at times between past and present and this is why we broke up Daniel. However I thoroughly enjoyed Maria Kalman's art. Her artwork was absolutely beautiful.

I have tried reading books written by 'Lemony Snicket' and couldn't get used to the writing. I think it's too clever for me.

I didn't think I'd make it to the end of this book, but I did. The reason why is because I wanted to know why they broke up.

It was an ok book, but not one I would highly recommend to anyone. I read this because it was chosen for my teenage book club, I kind of wished I didn't add it to our 'possible' books list.

The illustrations in this book were not my cup of tea either...
emotional fast-paced
Plot or Character Driven: Character
Strong character development: Complicated
Loveable characters: Yes
Diverse cast of characters: No
Flaws of characters a main focus: Yes

Took me a while to finish reading this because I was too bored of it to continue but I forced myself. I didn't like it.

I enjoyed the different writing perspective--Min writing the dialogue and all the events from her perspective, but I didn't care for the plot line: star athlete meets 'arty' girl and breaks girl's heart

Maybe It's a good thing I returned this book and got something else?
I'm glad I can just borrow this book from the library. I did like the book but it's not one I'm going to read over and over.
Heavy book. ^_^

I'm not entirely sure how I feel about this book. I liked and hated it at the same time, was bored and intrigued, didn't want to finish but had to know how it ended. Honestly I'm a little disappointed in this book, it wasn't entirely what I was expecting. Also I'm can't tell you why I did t like this book, or why I liked this book, it's just hard for me to pinpoint my exact feelings on this one.

Honestly amazing. I would read it again in a heartbeat.

This was so, sooo bad. Cant beliebe Booktube convinced me to read this. The writing is so bad, the characters are not likable and the story is fake deep, something maybe a 12 year old would think is adult. But it's just very childish.

The beginning of this book hooked me right away and I was excited for a John Green style book with intelligent characters living through typical teenage situations in extraordinary style, but somewhere in the middle of the book, I lost some of my enthusiasm for the story, and I'm not really sure why. It was still a good book, and I appreciate the fact that Min's story does not begin and end with Ed. Though he charmed her and then hurt her, she can and will get back on her feat and continue to grow into a fine young woman. The ultimate reason behind the break-up felt rushed to me, and perhaps this was intentional, because the story was meant to show all of the little ways that Ed wasn't right for Min, and if we were given clues along the way as to what was going to happen in the end, then that would be the only reason, instead of just the last reason. I'll definitely be there to read any future books Handler decides to write for Young Adults.
