Full RTC. This might be controversial, but I honestly kinda hated it :(

Loved this so much, 4.5 stars!!! Going to update funny story now that I’ve finished this bc I feel like I really loved both… again, loved the banter between Nora and Charlie, and also loved how her relationship with Libby was just as strong of a storyline as the romance

Why 5⭐️s you might ask? Because I’m a sucker who loves love. And not the dumb sappy love, but the “im also an NYC-er” and “wow this book feels so relatable for that reason” (but also not at all) sort of love. The second you even have an itch of what you think will happen and what Charlie and Nora have in store, you’re right but in all the wrong/poorly predicted ways. Great book and just what I needed post spring break!

Bardzo przyjemna komedia romantyczna w książkowej formie z elementami pracy jako agent literacki/redaktor.

Czytało się świetnie, ale mam wrażenie, że zachwyty były lekko przesadzone.

The first Emily Henry book I’ve read and to say I’m not a romance book lover I loved it!

wow wow wow!
This was my first ever Emily Henry book and it was defiantly an amazing place to start. Emily manages to create these deeply complex and emotive characters that you love but are also yelling at. I loved both the romantic relationship in this book as well as the sister dynamic. This book is perfect if you're looking for a cute, cozy summer romance :))

Okay Nora and Charlie are my king and queen and I could write an essay about them. (Plus I might relate a little too much to Nora so that influenced my rating but that’s not important). I’ll just say this: my favorite thing is that Nora feels like she needs to change who she is to find someone but Charlie doesn’t expect or want that.

From the very first page, this book had me in hysterics. The prologue reminded me exactly why I love Emily Henry so much: she’s goddamn hilarious.

This book is so clever. It basically calls out the predictability and ridiculousness of small town romance books while also being a small town romance book itself. I don’t know how Emily makes it charming but she does - creative genius.

Nora really reminded me of myself at times; particularly when speaking/thinking about her self esteem and worthiness (which I’m sure we can all relate to at times). Unlike Nora, I don’t have a Charlie who will act as my own personal cheerleader. The way he spoke to Nora and tried to boost her self-esteem was so beautiful.

Charlie and Nora were made for each other. They kept pushing each other away and I just wanted to scream at them “you shouldn’t waste that kind of a connection!”.

I don’t know if I was overly emotional but I just couldn’t stop crying the whole way through. It was mainly happy tears because the sad parts were rare, but that didn’t stop my tear ducts.

I felt really protective of all the characters so perhaps that’s why. Or maybe it’s just Emily’s incredible writing.

The sisterly bond between Nora and Libby is also something I can relate to (starting to wonder whether Nora is actually me in another life…?). It felt like the focus of the book was more on the sisters and their determination to get back to the way they used to be, rather than the romance. It didn’t bother me, and I actually enjoyed it more because of this.

Thank you to NetGalley and Emily Henry for this e-ARC in exchange for an honest review.

✦ Tropes: work rivals, small town romance, enemies-to-lovers, destination romance
