I'd read the other Tudor Court novels but for some reason missed out this one last time around. I enjoyed this book which retold the Anne of Cleves, Jane Boleyn and Katherine Howard stories during Henry VIII reign. I liked how it was written from the first person perspective of each character. It helped build the story and even though I have recently read a number of novels set during the reign of Henry VIII (and therefore was well aware of the story and outcome) this still offered a fresh perspective.

I first read The Boleyn Inheritance back in 2009. Years and years ago. And I have definitely read it more than three times because it’s one of my favorite Philippa Gregory novels.
As I mentioned in my review for [b:The Other Boleyn Girl|37470|The Other Boleyn Girl (The Plantagenet and Tudor Novels, #9)|Philippa Gregory|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1355932638l/37470._SY75_.jpg|3248536], Gregory takes a lot of liberties in her writing, probably due to writing more for entertainment than historical accuracy. However, she’s in-depth enough to keep the majority of the basic facts correct. Perhaps, with Inheritance there are more liberties taken if only because Anne of Cleves and Katherine Howard are the two wives least written about.
Still, a good read for entertainment’s sake and if, like me, you’re capable of ignoring the inconstancies, it’s definitely worth a look at.

Really liked Anne's character. And Katherine "Kitty" Howard's. Was nice to read of the wives who rarely get mentioned. Have enjoyed all the Phillipa Gregory books so far.

I didn't enjoy this book as much as The Other Boleyn Girl. I didn't care for the characters as much in this book. I was a little disappointed!
3.5 stars if I could. Possibly a longer review later.
