A Little Taste by Tia Louise is a small town, grumpy/sunshine, single dad romantic suspense story, featuring Sheriff Aiden Stone and Britt Bailey, whose families have feuded for years. Britt’s grandmother, Mayor Edna Brewer, calls her home to join the Sheriff’s team as a forensic photographer in a recent string of local crimes, despite Aiden’s feelings about the Brewer-Bailey family’s more spiritual/mystical beliefs. Britt left to get away from the pull of her family, but cannot refuse Edna’s request for help, especially when it will put her close to the man she has crushed on forever. The connection and attraction between Britt and Aiden is fast and powerful, but can two people from such different worlds build a lasting relationship? Or will outside influences and the mysterious criminal(s) lurking about torpedo their budding romance before it gets a chance to truly blossom?

This is the first book by this author that I have read, but it definitely will not be the last! The world building in this book was top notch, setting the scene for a potentially amazing series! Aiden and Britt were the ultimate Grumpy/Sunshine couple with great banter, and iPad-melting steamy scenes! Who knew the straight-laced Sheriff was such a dirty talker?! I cannot express how much the book is enhanced by all the other characters from the town— from the brothers, Britt’s friends and family, the quirky townspeople, everyone added to the laughter and the drama in some way. The suspense aspect of the plot was super compelling and I never knew what was coming next! As a dog lover, I loved picturing all the scenes with Edward, especially with little Owen. I’m a sucker for well written kid characters in books! Overall, this book was the perfect blend of quirky small town, spicy romance, and intriguing suspense. I can’t wait for the next book!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A sweet, steamy, magical, make you feel right at home kind of romance that I didn't want to stop reading.

Aiden Stone and Britt Bailey bring this small town romance to life. I loved their long time family rivalries that both of their families still held, which led in part to Aiden's grouchy personality, but it wasn't the only thing that contributed to his grumpy backstory, but I won't give that away.

Then there was Britt's sweet, smart personality that comes rolling into town and she ignites a flame between them, much to his annoyance, but don't worry...once that flame is lit it burns hot and bright and it's haaawwwttt!

Not my usual book but great.

When someone recommended this book, I wasn't sure it was up my alley. But then I started it and finished it in a day. Can't believe I loved it that much. Hope someone else reading this review takes a chance on this book.
