Lovely, light, fluffy account of the Pioneer Woman & Marlboro Man's courtship (aka Ree & Lad Drummond). If you're already a fan of her blog ThePioneerWoman.com, then you're familiar with her super-cute writing style and conversational, every-woman tone.

Super cheesy and romantic and it supposedly is being turned into Reese Witherspoon movie. I still salivate over her use of butter on her cooking blog.

This book was totally adorable and romantic, and I loved learning more about The Pioneer Woman!

I really enjoyed this. It was a fun, fairly light-hearted story. I've been watching The Pioneer Woman on Food Network for about a year or so; I stumbled upon it accidentally and discovered I loved her food and her personality. I have a cookbook of hers that I love to read, along with a bunch of recipes from the internet that I have tried and love, so this was a fun read to feel like I got to know her a little more.

A quick and enjoyable read from a popular blogger.

I'm a huge fan of Ree Drummmond. I have both cookbooks, this book (obviously), and even one of her Charlie books, DVR'd her show religiously until we got rid of cable, and I adore her blog. I kept meaning to get around to reading this book for so long.

Let me just say that I wish I could read this over and over again and it completely makes me look at Ree/Ladd in a whole new light. It's the sweetest love story ever. Loved every last page of it.

It was really hilarious to read about Ree's introduction to the ranch lifestyle from living out in California for years.

If you are a PDub fan, GET YOUR HANDS ON THIS BOOK! ;)

This is one of the few books that I have really enjoyed in a long time. I recommend it.

Romance novels aren't really my thing...at all. I was under the impression this book was going to be about a city girl becoming a country girl - a not so secret, secret wish I'd love to see come to fruition in my own life. However, this book was over the top, gushing love a la harlequin romance complete with weak, spaghetti knees (really, how many times can you say your knees go weak at the site of your boyfriend, fiancee, husband) but with a definite PG twist.

It seemed to me fairly obvious that the author wrote this book knowing full well one day her kids would read the love story between their parents. And yes, it is a nice love story and I do love happy endings. But she may as well have put a huge disclaimer at the beginning of the book to her children saying, "Your father and I did not in any way, shape or form have pre-marital sex! Don't even think about doing it in your own lives." After about the third time that she mentions they didn't have any 'sleepovers' because there would be 'plenty of time for that in the future,' I was like, OK, I GET IT!!!

There were definitely some funny moments that happened to the author that weren't the result of her making bad decisions. The rest of her 'bad luck' that she proclaims to have is self-induced. Like when her future mother-in-law, who has lived in the country and on that land her whole life, tells her to slow down on an upcoming turn on a dirt road and of course Ree doesn't do it, goes off the road and ends up in a ditch. Well that isn't bad luck, that's being arrogant.

Had Ree taken out, oh, I don't know, about 100 pages of passionate kisses, weak knees, I'm not sleeping with my husband before he's my husband but he has these amazing arms and just focused on certainly some of the passion, but more on her transition from city to country girl, this book would have been much more interesting.

This is a book that you either love or hate...if you are a follower of Ree's blog, you know most of the story. I myself have followed her since the beginning, and I find her very down to earth and funny. She has no qualms about making fun of herself and many parts made me laugh out loud while I was reading...like I do many times while reading her blog. It was an enjoyable and light read. I gave it the four stars because it made me laugh and took me away from everyday humdrum...which is what I wanted it to do. It is by no means a literary masterpiece...it's just plain fun!

sweet book that her fans will love. i read it in a few days -- met her at a book signing and she was delightful in person.
