Did not finish this... she is a good writer but the whole thing is a little too romance novel come to life for me.... she goes on and on about her perfect life and love and how just seeing her "marlboro man" (which is all she will call her boyfriend, then husband...never gives a name ever, which is quite annoying to read) is this ecstatic experience every time, and she writes paragraphs and pages of just how he makes every inch of her feel something... I couldn't read hundreds of pages of that without feeling nauseous! I think I'll stick to her blog.

I thought it was entertaining. I liked her style of humor.

I listened to the author read this book. I don't think I would have liked it as much just reading it. It is very romantic, and sweet.

I really had high hopes for this book. I enjoyed the Marlboro Man character, but felt that he was portrayed as having no flaws, while Ree seemed like a super flighty young girl. And there were a lot of cliche lines and events.

I really enjoyed this. Super funny and well written. I didn’t know much about The Pioneer Woman before this as cooking is not my thing. Just a fun read, not super serious which I enjoyed.

Great coming of age story if Ree Drummond. Light hearted and fun to read. I had a hard time putting it down and wanted to continue all at once. However, life pressed and I had to take time to read it. Highly recommend. I can’t wait to read her new one.
