Sweet HEA

It took me awhile to get into but once I was in, I was IN. It was a slow build at first but it was really well fleshed out. I loved the characters, Kristen has an amazing talent of making real characters. They don't feel fake, or like a stereotype. The situations are genuine and funny, the relationships complicated and loving. Always a great read

Michelle walks in on her first day of teaching ready to take on the world and a rambunctious set of first graders - what she isn’t prepared for is the guy that ghosted her in college being the gym teacher at the same elementary school. Chris has been in love with Michelle for years and after his life changed in an instant - he left her behind. But fate has other things in mind.

I adored this story. It is heartbreakingly sweet and honest and made me laugh out loud. Both Chris and Michelle have reasons for their feelings after five years apart and Granata lets them actually work through them. I especially loved the fact that they had a character who had a disability versus a disabled character! (Aiden definitely deserves his own story! Also Micheal...)

There was realistic heat between the mains with a side of longing and just a dash of angst that kept this story going and I highly recommend it for those who love second chance romances (my favorite!) and just a heartwarming and quick read. the bedroom scene felt natural and was surprisingly hot!

I need Aiden as my wingman to find me a Chris. kthanksssss ❤️

Kristen Granata does it again in this amazing second chance romance! The characters she creates are so real and relatable that you automatically get sucked into the story from the beginning! Christopher is unlike the typical main male character, he is clumsy, sweet, and selfless. Michelle has a strong wall that she put up for good reason and she doesn’t hide her feelings of anger toward Christopher. Aiden was such a delight to read about, he is such a strong, determined, witty kid, and lovable kid (I would LOVE to read more about him!).
This book will have you laughing, crying, and laughing some more! You will not be disappointed!!

this was a really good read! loved the development and characters!

And just like that, my entire world tilts on its axis.
Nothing will ever be the same again, and I don’t want it to.
Because I’m certain:
I’ve just met the girl I’m going to spend the rest of my life with.

Kristen Granata’s Back to You is a heartfelt second chance romance. When Christopher and Michelle meet at a party in college, they both feel an intense connection. After three months, Christopher disappears without a word, leaving Michelle to pick up the pieces of her shattered heart. Five years later, they find themselves thrown together again as coworkers at an elementary school. And Michelle and Christopher will have to finally confront their feelings and their pasts in order to move forward.

I love a well done second chance romance, and Granata provide us with just that. While I found it slightly implausible that Christopher would leave without any word, I still found his reasoning compelling and thought that it was a beautiful part of the narrative. And I love how Granata introduces a character who has cerebral palsy and depicts the beauty and the struggle that he manages. There’s a great cast of supporting characters, and there’s also an overlap with Hating the Boss, which Granata fans will thoroughly enjoy.

If you’re looking for a romantic and sweet second chance story, add this to your TBR pile immediately.
