I’m so sorry but this was just so lame and rushed. Their relationship was literally theee months during college then they had a five year gap and then just picked up where they left off? It’s just not believable for me. I liked Aiden’s character and that storyline was really sweet (not super sure about the way his dialogue was written with the repeated letters, I think we could’ve done without that after the first time he spoke…).

It wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t good either.

So sad I’m out of Kristen Granata books to read. This one was different from her most recent books and had some good funny moments. Christopher was so fun to read.

Loved his and Michelle’s story. Aiden was so comical and such a sweetheart! Loved his character!

Wow! This book is probably at the top of my second chance romance list!! I LOVED this book.
Christopher is the absolute sweetest soul. Michelle is guarded, with a good reason, but she’s also strong and resilient. Aiden is the cherry on top. This story wouldn’t have been complete without him.
It has just the right amount of humor to lighten up the book after some serious moments.
You guys need this on your TBR’s! I know you’ll fall in love with this story, like I did.

Another book that goes to my comfort reads list.

This book was a fabulous follow up to Hating the Boss. Who knew so much love could be found within the walls of one elementary school!

Michelle and Christopher’s story started off sweet. The perfect meet-cute. But it slowly took an unexpected turn and BAM, 5 years later both characters are wading through life... apart. That is until they literally bump into each other at work and have to come face to face their shared past. One trying to forget it and the other is trying to fix it.

I absolutely loved Michelle! Her character was sweet, smart and so darn spunky. She was not a woman you should underestimate or glance over. Growing up with brothers, she could hold her own with the best of them. I adored the family dynamic she was surrounded by and the fact that others were so drawn to her presence and personality. She was quick to fit into her new work environment and make friends.

Christopher was so darn charming! Talk about the complete package! Nerdy, hot, athletic, a little clumsy (ok a lot clumsy) and a selfless provider. There wasn’t a single aspect of his character that I didn’t enjoy.

Aiden was such a bright light in this story. A truly old soul who was wise beyond his years. I loved the honest perspective he brought to the story. Despite his disability, he was strong and positive. I loved his little attempts at bringing M and C together.

This second chance romance was not only heartwarming but also so emotional and at times absolutely frustrating. You just want the characters to see what’s right in front of them but sometimes they have to take a detour to find their way back to what they truly want and deserve. I really enjoyed the pace of this story and how it wasn’t an instant rekindling of feelings. It took Michelle and Christopher quite a bit of time to rediscover their groove and heal from the past.

Plenty of laugh out loud moments in this read and just the right mix of drama and suspense. The epilogue was completely endearing and sweet.
